Lions are suffering at the hands of three cruel industries

Behind every human-lion interaction is a lifetime of suffering.

Help end the exploitation of lions for entertainment, trophy hunting and traditional medicine.

Behind every human-lion interaction is a lifetime of suffering. In South Africa’s lion farms, cubs are often taken away from their mothers at only a few weeks old, and used to provide tourists with holding, stroking, bottle feeding and walking experiences until they get too big. We need to end this.

Most tourists don’t know that when they visit entertainment venues, they are fuelling the demand for cruel and potentially illegal practices. You can help us educate tourists to say no to venues that allow direct human-lion interaction like hugs or selfies.

Lions are suffering at the hands of three cruel industries. Often adult lions also end up in the trophy hunting trade where they are shot by hunters who only want their heads. And their body parts, such as bones, are then exported for the traditional Asian medicine trade where they are turned into wine, tonics and other products. For lions, this is not a life worth living.

Together, we can change this for good. And we must, because a life of pain and suffering is no life at all. Will you join us, and help end this cruelty?

Please donate today to help protect lions and other vulnerable animals in need around the world.

$20 could help educate tourists and lobby tour operators to stop selling tickets to cruel lion attractions

$30 could help our campaigning efforts to ban lion breeding and keep lions in the wild where they belong

$60 could help lobby governments to enforce measures against the lion bones trade
